Adobe AIR

Posted by: Jack on: April 3, 2009

I’ve never really cared about Adobe AIR, and then I used an app that was made with Adobe AIR and the interface was fraking ugly which made me hate AIR even more.

But I just spent the whole night making my own Adobe AIR app and realized the app I used purposely made their interface that ugly, so now I actually like Adobe AIR and will probably soon be making more apps with it.

The app I made is for now a simple Twitter client for Twivo.com, but soon I will be adding to it to display your timeline and replies.

Ads taken off Twivo

Decided to take down the ads on Twivo – they make the site look ugly and just plain stupid. With the ads gone the site looks much better.

Ads on Twivo

Posted by: Jack on: April 1, 2009

I hate ads as much as the next guy.. at least the one who also hates ads. But I unfortunately had to put ad(s) on Twivo to help pay for the hosting resouces. I’m hoping we won’t need to keep them up forever they make the site look fugly.

I might take them down and add a Donate to keep Twivo alive button somewhere.

Why do I do it

Posted by: Jack on: March 31, 2009

I asked myself why I keep posting on multiple blogs. I don’t post the same on all my blogs. This WordPress.com blog is more of a random post thing more than anything and my main blog on my site is more of a personal blog, and my Tumblr is more of a thing where I post completely random things randomly, or just some weird thing.

I suppose that’s why I made Twivo, to finally have it all in one place, to be honest making Twivo has actually got me blogging or “micro blogging” a lot more than usual.

Media Temple

Posted by: Jack on: March 31, 2009

I recently purchased a Media Temple hosting account and I have to say their control panel for the Grid Servers aren’t that bad, it certainly makes managing domains, emails and databases a lot easier than CPanel.

I would move all my sites to my MT account but I still love Liquid Web more, and I prefer full control over the server I’m on as I like to update Apache and other things to the latest version.

CPanel / WebHostManager

Posted by: Jack on: March 9, 2009

I’ve been using CPanel for years and I have to say I am absolutely fucking hating the piece of shit.

I’ve had countless problems with it from not being able to access the control panels for stupid reasons to the CPanel update hanging halfway through an update almost completely fucking my CPanel installation.

Recently I had CPanel fuckup halfway through update, luckily it didn’t screw the installation, but it did hate over an hour to get it fixed, after that I went to update apache which is taking over 4 hours now, its fucking lame.

I think the next web server I get will be a Windows server, that way I can just Remote Desktop into it and setup what I need, I’ve had enough with that piece of shit OS called Linux and CPanel the worlds most fucking annoying and unstable control panel.

I hate categories on blogs, Tags are easier and nicer. I’ve decided I won’t be using Categories anymore.

My iMac

Posted by: Jack on: November 28, 2008

My iMac, I hate it… Well not really, I just can’t stand using Mac OS X anymore, the mouse is really slow which pisses me the hell off and there’s no good games for Mac.

I really can’t wait until Windows 7 is released, I have a good feeling about it, not like Vista, that thing was horrible, and sometimes it can still be annoying.

Windows…. 7

Posted by: Jack on: November 5, 2008

So, I heard Windows 7 was leaked and available for download via BitTorrent, now as a long time Windows user that has switched to Mac OS, I thought I’d give it a try.

So off I went to my favorite BitTorrent website, searched for Windows 7, downloaded it, did all the DVD things, and installed it on my old laptop, I was surprised that it installed faster than Mac OS, or at least within the same time.

Anyway, So I started to play with it, naturally, and fell in love with it, then I set out to enable the SuperBar people say is hidden in it, I enabled that and just can’t wait till Windows 7 is released.

As soon as Windows 7 is released, I’m buying a new beast machine and getting Windows 7, then making that my main computer, Because after using Mac OS X for a while – theres just some annoying things with it, and the mouse pointer seems really sluggish compared to Windows.
