Bootcamp

Posted by: Jack on: April 16, 2009

When I first got my Mac I tried to use Bootcamp to attempt at running Windows on my Mac for fun, I must have done something wrong as it didn’t work. Anyway I tried it again last week and it worked this time, Then I asked myself, how can I use this to my advantage.
I [...]

Problem Solved?

Posted by: Jack on: April 9, 2009

For a while now I’ve had a problem with my mouse on my Mac, it was slow and sluggish and no matter what speed I set the tracking speed to it never helped.
Recently though I plugged in the mouse I use on my gaming PC and it was perfect, so it had to be one [...]

Windows…. 7

Posted by: Jack on: November 5, 2008

So, I heard Windows 7 was leaked and available for download via BitTorrent, now as a long time Windows user that has switched to Mac OS, I thought I’d give it a try.
So off I went to my favorite BitTorrent website, searched for Windows 7, downloaded it, did all the DVD things, and installed it [...]

Time Capsule

Posted by: Jack on: April 26, 2008

For a while now I’ve been wanting to replace my external HD I use for backing up my Mac with Time Machine, I decided to get Time Capsule after reading the specs on it.
Backup Drive, Router with Wireless? What a deal, So today I went out to the store where I buy most of my [...]

AppZapper

Posted by: Jack on: February 21, 2008

While AppZapper isn’t something I use a lot, it’s still one of the best Mac Applications ever created.
It makes removing applications you don’t want/need.
While dragging the app to the garbage bin does removed the app, it doesn’t remove the app support, preference files, or any of the other things associated with that app.
AppZapper does remove all those files, its [...]

Adium

Posted by: Jack on: January 30, 2008

I recently installed Adium to check out how good it is, and so far I’m impressed, it is a hell of a lot better than Messenger:Mac from Microshit Microsoft.

My favorite feature is the ability to change the colors on the contact list and make it transparent, now I always keeps my contact list open.

There are [...]

CSSEdit 2, This is one awesome application – It lets you create CSS Style sheets within seconds,
Since I’ve installed it I can’t stop using it, the power of this app [...]

MacHeist

Posted by: Jack on: January 15, 2008

I purchased the MacHeist Bundle (a bunch of apps for Mac) today, and I have to say it was the smartest thing I ever did.

I got one of the apps I’ve always wanted but didn’t have the money to spend, plus others that will no doubt come in handy in the future…

Mighty Mouse

Posted by: Jack on: January 14, 2008

I love the Mighty Mouse, I really do, However since its started that stupid shit with the side buttons it’s really getting annoying, even with the actions turned off from the Mouse Settings it still makes a clicking sound – even when I’m not touching the buttons.

I grabbed my old mouse from my Winblows computer [...]

Time Machine

Posted by: Jack on: January 9, 2008

Yesterday I went out and bought an external hard drive to use with Time Machine, and to be honest Time Machine is really great.

It keeps hourly backups for the past 24 hours, a daily backup for the past month and weekly backups until the backup hard drive is full.
