When I first got my Mac I tried to use Bootcamp to attempt at running Windows on my Mac for fun, I must have done something wrong as it didn’t work. Anyway I tried it again last week and it worked this time, Then I asked myself, how can I use this to my advantage.

I installed one of my favorite games on there that don’t work on my gaming machine, Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic, the best Star Wars game of all time.

After installing it I said to myself, I hope it works. After launching the game and getting as far as I got on my gaming machine I was expecting a crash – but it didn’t. So I proceeded to play and expected the game to crash every time I took a step in the game.

After completing the part on the space ship, I said to myself if it were going to crash it would have done it long ago.

I now use the Windows installation on my Mac to play games that don’t work on my gaming machine, I think after I have completed the game again but on the good site (not dark side) I will install Knights of The Old Republic II and play that.

Bootcamp, What would I do without you? – Well I would have to setup my old Windows PC I had before my gaming machine. But that would be too much trouble.

My iMac, I hate it… Well not really, I just can’t stand using Mac OS X anymore, the mouse is really slow which pisses me the hell off and there’s no good games for Mac.

I really can’t wait until Windows 7 is released, I have a good feeling about it, not like Vista, that thing was horrible, and sometimes it can still be annoying.

So, I heard Windows 7 was leaked and available for download via BitTorrent, now as a long time Windows user that has switched to Mac OS, I thought I’d give it a try.

So off I went to my favorite BitTorrent website, searched for Windows 7, downloaded it, did all the DVD things, and installed it on my old laptop, I was surprised that it installed faster than Mac OS, or at least within the same time.

Anyway, So I started to play with it, naturally, and fell in love with it, then I set out to enable the SuperBar people say is hidden in it, I enabled that and just can’t wait till Windows 7 is released.

As soon as Windows 7 is released, I’m buying a new beast machine and getting Windows 7, then making that my main computer, Because after using Mac OS X for a while – theres just some annoying things with it, and the mouse pointer seems really sluggish compared to Windows.

I have to say, I am so god damn happy I am switching to a Mac – Windows has done it this time, no more bullshit now.

Today I was watching a DVD in Windows Media Player on one screen and playing World of Warcraft in window mode on the other screen, it was working fine for a while until Windows decides to lockup, freeze and crash, what I mean it – first everything locked up then a few seconds later it froze, nothing would work then both my screens go black and the green lights go orange, the only thing that fixed it was a full restart by pressing my favorite button the “Restart Button” on the computer case.

I really cant wait till I get my iMac, I wont have to put up with this piece of shit called Windows anymore.

Vista has worked good for me, but with all these little programs like games crashing, my network not working and all that shit – I just cant take it anymore, I SWITCH, goodbye Windows, goodbye Microsoft, I fucking hate you.

Yesterday I was on the Apple website watching the Get a Mac ads they worked fine, then later I went back to show someone the ads but instead of the ad playing I got “You need Quicktime 7 Installed” I tried in every browser I have installed Firefox, IE, Safari for Windows and that damn message came up every single fucking time.

I tried restarting the browsers, reinstalling Quicktime and nothing bloody worked, I gave up in the end and tried a while different machine, and that message came up again on a different machine.

Windows + Quicktime = Fail.

I went to the shopping centre today and while walking around I saw this on one of the ad screens they have there,

I made a Windows Sidebar gadget a while ago, and everyone who has it says it keeps ‘flashing’, I’ve tried to fix this many times but I don’t see the flashing, so its a little hard to fix, I think I’m going to have to rewrite it..

I’ve been using MSN / Windows Live Messenger for years and I’ve always loved it.

But since I used WLM 8.5 Beta I have started to dislike it, the main reason being it didn’t work right, every time someone sent me a message the damn thing crashed.

 I know it was a beta version but still – why release it when it crashes all the time? Shouldn’t they fix that before asking people to test it?, So I removed it and put 8.1 back on.

But today I thought I would try 8.5 as its now ’stable’, When I first tried it I liked the new interface but now I don’t seem to like it that much anymore, and the first time someone sent me a message the Windows border went all black – I’m guessing its because I have the window borders turned off, but still that shouldn’t have happened and made me think about going back to 8.1 – again.

When I was talking to someone and I was looking at the chat and contact windows again, I just kept remembering WLM crashing back when I had the beta installed, it was starting to annoy me, I just had to go back to 8.1, I’m not sure what I will do when they drop support for my favorite version, I guess I’ll just have to get used to the new interface or use something like Trillian.

Everyone is always saying Vista sucks, its unstable, its this, its that, its the worst version, blah blah blah blah blah…

Well, I’ve been using Vista for quite a while now and I have to say, I have had hardly any problems with it, I guess its because I actually know how to use it unlike those whining little babies.

“What do you mean, ‘You know how to use it’ ?”,
What I mean is, Turn off the shit you don’t need like UAC and Windows Defender, that will instantly boost the performance and stability of the system.

There are a few reasons to keep UAC on, but I really cant be stuffed having to run all my games and installers as Administrator every time, and the confirm dialogs are bloody annoying.

Windows Defender on the other hand, there is not a single reason to keep it on, all it does is slow the startup of Windows, I had it turned off for months then turned it back on then after restarting my computer I almost smashed something.

With Windows Defender enabled whenever I turned on my computer on and opened Firefox it took at least 5 minutes to launch the program, but with Windows Defender turned off it only takes a few seconds.

Besides the UAC, Windows Defender, a networking issue and Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) crashing problem, Vista works fine for me.

If you really want to know what the networking issue is, then read on,
Sometimes when I turn my computer on Vista fails to recognize that my network cable is plugged in and connected to my router, which ultimately disables me from connecting to the rest of my computers and the internet.

The Windows Explorer crashing issue problem rarely happens.

I almost forgot to blog this, I was using Internet Explorer the other day and after clicking a link like I do in any other browser the damn thing crashed on me.

This goes to show how unstable Internet Explorer is, if clicking a link on a webpage can crash IE I wonder what downloading a file can do, would it crash the harddrive?

Now I remember why I stopped using it and switched to Firefox, which I have been using since it was in Beta.
